This is our favorite downspout diverter because it offers the best function and adaptability for diverting water to up to 2 rainbarrels. Because of its flexible design, it works seamlessly with almost any downspout and almost any rain barrel. It is one of the few diverteres that also will connect to our Spruce Creek Rainsaver thru the overflow fittting.

Splashing and spilling is eliminated at the rainbarrel because only a controlled flow of rain is diverted into the barrel overflow thru a direct-connect hose. Utilizing the barrel overflow, water is channeled from diverter to barrel so rainstorms won't surge water over the barrel top. During slow rains . . . most rain will divert to your rainbarrel through the hose connections . . . but during flash storms, excess water is able to flow thru the original downspout drain. Secondary rainbarrel overflows remain functioning so once barrel is full, water is directed away at the same flow as it enters the barrel.

Connecting this downspout diverter is simple because the open top reservoir configures to most downspout styles (including standard 2x3 and 3x4) and enables easy maintenance and cleaning throughout the year. When winter arrives, flow can be closed to rain barrels (provided channel plugs) so all rain will continue to the original downspout. You'll receive adaptors and short garden hose to connect most rainbarrel systems. Special adaptors are available to connect the high volume Spruce Creek Rainsaver overflow (additional fitting).

The removable screen at the top of the diverter filters out debris and enables users to easily clean. Shut off plugs are attached to this screen for easy storage and availability if single barrel setup or winter shutoff is desired. This base kit includes custom fittings and hose for connecting to SpringSaver and Harbor Barrel and some other rainbarrel styles. For the Spruce Creek Rainsaver, use the second form to receive high capacity adaptor fittings.

Spruce Creek - Reservoir Diverter Kit
Now you can direct-connect your Spruce Creek Rainsaver with the SC-Reservoir Diverter Kit. Custom Overflow Fittings are provided so that High-Volume-SC-Overflow can be connected directly to the Reservoir Diverter. This fitting allows excess water to continue out the barrel overflow when full. Simply use a small section of SC overflow sump hose to connect barrel to diverter.

The Rain Diverter is used for selecting flow of rainwater to the rainbarrel or to a secondary runoff direction. A lever located on the downspout splitter can be instantly switched back and forth without complicated effort. The Automatic Overflow of the Rainsaver never needs to be disconnected, and remains operational at all times.

Although the Spruce Creek Rainsaver is assembled with an automatic overflow, some users may want to pre-divert excess runoff during times of heavy rain, winter months, or to a preexisting drainage area.

For this purpose, we offer a diverter system that can be lever-switched between the rainbarrel or an alternate runoff route. The system is consistent with standard aluminum downspout, and is available in 10 colors & 2 sizes (2x3, or 3x4).

Choose between INLINE (left) and OFFSET diverters depending on how you would like to set up your Rainsaver. The Auto-Overflow on the Rainsaver does not need to be disconnected and remains operational regardless of setup choice.

INLINE SYSTEM allows you to position the rainbarrel directly in front of the downspout.

OFFSET SYSTEM allows you to keep original path of downspouts while placing Rainsaver to the right or left side.
