The soft lines and rounded shape resemble classic olive urns while storing a generous 50 gallons of collected water. A 4-ft. garden hose connects at the base and threaded shut-off valve enables filling watering cans or connecting to a longer hose for distant watering. The Harbor Rain Barrel combines many attributes of space, function and VALUE to create an efficient tool for collecting 47 gallons of eco-friendly rainwater. The economical barrel and shipping makes it the logical alternative to unsightly industrial refurbs and significantly less expensive than other rain barrels. The square design fits closely to homes and buildings and a 4 ft. hose with threaded shut connects directly to the bottom of the barrel. The threaded ball valve is useful for filling watering cans or connecting directly to garden hoses.

This barrel will provide an ample and replenishable resource for watering gardens, flower beds, trees or shrubs. ReConditioned Rain Barrels
Durable, Functional and Environmentally Efficient
Nothing is more true to recycling than finding a repurpose for valued items. These Rain Barrels had a former life in food transportation and make excellent item for collecting rain. They're made from re-cycled food grade barrels and come into this country from Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy and India, where they traveled thousands of miles.  Even though we have thoroughly cleaned them inside and out, and applied several coats of a UV polish, they may still have some scratches and scrapes. This should be considered as part of the "character" of the recycled rain barrels. These 60 gallon plastic barrels were originally brought into this country filled with olives and pickles. Dimensions 41” tall 23” diameter. Barrels hold approximately 60 gallons.

These repurposed rain barrels have a screw on top with one inch holes, screen mesh to keep out debris and mosquitoes, three top overflow male hose connections with caps, a nylon spigot and a bottom drain plug. The overflow fittings allow excess water to be diverted into a second barrel (or third, or fourth etc.), or by attaching hoses, excess water can be diverted to remote areas such as a garden or flower beds. The nylon spigot is shipped inside the barrel and will need to be screwed on to the pre-installed plastic fitting. The nylon spigot can be interchanged with the bottom drain plug if desired.
